Im from Australia, this person responds to adds on Gumtree (like Craigslist) and asks that you contact them via email.
Once you email them they go on about how they are insterested in the product you are selling but can't come and view it because they work offshore - they will however send someone out to pick it up but first require your paypal details to transfer a payment to you.
What happens from here is they either hack into your paypal to get direct access to the bank account it is linked to or they organise a transfer which will be 'pending' so the money shows in your account, you release the goods and they cancell the transfer so you dont get paid.
